BATTERIES
Power it right with Goodyear Lithium Powersport Batteries:
Goodyear batteries are built for performance, and a little care keeps them running strong.
SAFETY MEASURES
Do not connect batteries in series or parallel. Rated IP65.
Keep away from heat sources, open flames, children, and pets. To avoid short circuits,
ensure no conductive materials come in contact with the terminals.
Handle with care; avoid impacts, punctures, fire, water exposure, or extreme heat. Always
use compatible chargers, connectors, cables, and accessories to maintain safe and reliable
operation. Never disassemble or modify the battery. If you notice swelling, deformation, or a
strange odor, stop use immediately.
Monitor voltage regularly. Recharge if it drops below 12.8V, and do not exceed 14.4V during
charging. Store your battery in a cool place below 77°F (25°C). After extended use, allow a
10-minute rest before testing or removal.
Fully discharge before recycling. Recycle used batteries at qualified recycling centers.
If electrolyte comes into contact with your eyes or skin, rinse with water immediately and
seek medical help.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Store or transport with 30–50% charge for best long-term health. Inspect
every 3 months, and recharge if voltage drops below 30%.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated space between 32°F–77°F (0°C–25°C) with less
than 50% humidity.
When transporting, use shockproof and insulated packaging. Avoid placing
near flammable materials, corrosives,or sharp objects, and handle with care
to avoid drops and impacts.
Charging Guidelines:
Always charge with a compatible lithium charger and follow your vehicle manufacturer’s
instructions.
Recommended charging voltage: 14.0V–14.4V. For best results, charge below 0.2C and within
temperatures of 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).
Charging Precautions:
If using an external charger, remove the battery before charging.
Make sure your vehicle's charging system is set between 14.0V–14.4V, and use professional
tools to confirm leakage current is under 5 mA.
Connecting the Battery:
Always connect the positive (+) terminal first, followed by the negative (-). Prevent reversing
connections, as this can cause damage.
Clean and tighten terminals monthly to ensure a strong, reliable connection, free of debris.
BUILT-IN SAFETY WITH BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS)
Your Goodyear lithium powersport battery includes a built-in BMS for added protection:
Overcharge Protection: Disconnect the charger. The BMS resets automatically
once voltage returns to normal.
Over-discharge Protection: Turn off connected devices and remove loads to
exit protection mode. Recharge if needed to restore function.
Temperature Protection: If the battery cuts power due to heat, disconnect all
loads and allow a 15–30 minute cooldown before reconnecting.
WARRANTY TERMS
To ensure your warranty remains valid, always follow the instructions
outlined in this manual. Goodyear batteries are built tough, but the
warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Improper use such as overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, or
physical impacts resulting in damage.
Unauthorized disassembly or exposure to fire, accidents, or extreme
conditions.
Improper setups including series or parallel connections.
Faulty equipment or charging systems.
Use outside of the stated operating guidelines.
This manual may be updated as product features or technical
standards evolve without prior notice.
